Just received notification from Meridian Credit Union, they’re advising their members that starting September 1st, some changes are going to occur in regards to features & fees for their Personal Accounts offers:
Here’s the highlight of the changes:
Starting with their Pay as you Go Accounts, starting September 1, 2021:
- A minimum deposit of $2000 is required to keep transactions free
- Transactions are $1 each if the minimum balance is not kept
- 4 free Interac ABM withdrawals (not part of The Exchange Network) will now be discontinued
- 4 free Interac eTransfers per month will now be added (rebated at end of the month)
- Interac eTransfers are now $1.50 each, up from $1.25 each
With their Limitless Chequing Account (young adult account for ages 18-29), starting September 1, 2019:
- No minimum balance is required like before
- 4 free Interac ABM withdrawals (not part of The Exchange Network) will now be discontinued
- 4 free Interac eTransfers per month will now be added (rebated at end of the month)
- Interac eTransfers are now $1.50 each, up from $1.25 each
